Anchoring on trucks
During overland transport, goods may be subjected to longitudinal and transverse accelerations: this will cause damage to the transported stuff in case of sudden braking or trajectory changing, as the cargo is no more adequately anchored and tends to move forwards or sideways. In most severe cases, poor cargo safety can also cause road accidents (data from the Euro Contrôle Route association reports more than 2,300 accidents per year for the sole 2010).
Petband options have the primary purpose of balancing all forces acting on a moving load by:
- coefficient of friction increase
- locking
- direct anchoring
- “top-over” anchoring
- combining of the above-listed methods
